A Bunch of Actors is a theatre and creative production company based in Brighton.
Set up in 2014 by Christophe Philipps in 2014, we develop new writing, revue, comedy and adaptive works for stage and screen, working with some of the best actors, writers, directors, producers, animators, musicians, theatre makers and film makers across the UK.
In everything we do we’re driven, unique and ambitious – and work to a simple mantra:
Be original. Be funny. Be relevant.
Past productions include the five-star reviewed comic play A STILL LIFE for Brighton Fringe 2014, six-episode comedy dating series ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND TINDER – SERIES 1 (IS THE LONELIEST NUMBER), parody music video HIPSTERS PARADISE (in post-production) and six-part animated comedy series FLOCKED (also in post-production), following the (mis)adventures of seagulls Ron and Reg. We’re currently working on a second series of Flocked, and SERIES 2 (LITTLE, 2 LATE) and SERIES 3 (IS THE MAGIC NUMBER) of All’s Fair, with a number of further productions in pre-production.

Christophe met actress Rebecca Probyn September 2013 when both were cast as walkabout characters for Shocktoberfest at Tulley’s Farm, Crawley. Straight away, they knew they worked well together and had the complimentary skills to make things happen.
Good things can happen with the right people working together.

A Still Life – and beyond!
In casting A Still Life we attracted actors with broader performance and creative directing experience in order to build A Bunch of Actors and work toward a sustained and rewarding future. We received extremely positive feedback for A Still Life and everything we aim to achieve with A Bunch of Actors, and have been welcomed into the Brighton creative community.
Since then, Christophe has gone on to become an integral part of the Brighton performance scene, taking lead roles in several incarnations of long-running satirical sketch show The Treason Show, Argus Award-winning comedy musical The Opinion Makers, biting satirical musical Mein Campervan, and Brighton Shakespeare Company’s debut hit A Merry Wives of Windsor at Brighton Open Air Theatre, as well as film, TV and theatre productions further afield.
In contrast, Rebecca left A Bunch of Actors and moved back to Essex to raise her baby Molly, although she continues to delve into the world of acting. The company, too, has grown, with new productions being developed by an ever-expanding team of creatives, including actors, writers, directors, film crew, producers and musical directors – all united under a simple precept: to create innovative, intelligent and successful comedy in whatever form it takes. The future is looking extremely bright for A Bunch of Actors and all who work with us.
Thank you for showing interest in A Bunch of Actors.
